Re: UI/Window management issue

Have you tried using a different mouse? Does anything like this happen in other programs? It almost sounds like the mouse isn't clicking where you think it is clicking.

Softmaker Office Pro

I see that the Beta test has ended. The "New" NX is available. When will the new version of Softmaker Office (2026? 2027?) Pro be released. I assume there will be upgrade pricing?

Re: No. 10 envelope

Right, Older Windows. I suspect you will find the Softmaker folder in "My Documents," which is what Windows used to use as its default documents folder.

No.

And Windows 10 is hardly "older." It is still in mainstream use by a huge number of people and companies.

Sigh. "Older" was ...

Re: Classic Menus and Toolbar UI Options...Color?

Just being a pest and noting we still don't have this. ;-) I understand it is low priority, but then it is likely to slip through the cracks, so I'll keep being a pest, Lol.

It can't be that hard,,,

Re: No. 10 envelope

You can try renaming the \Documents\SoftMaker\Settings folder and then check again.

Where is this folder located? My default Documents directory (folder) is on an external drive designated Y:

What does your version of Windows think the default documents folder is? It is usually C ...

Classic Menus and Toolbar UI Options...Color?

I'm pretty sure I raised this suggestion during the 2024 beta, and I admit it is a fairly trivial feature request, but I'm also not quite sure why it would be difficult to do.

I use the classic menus and toolbars UI, not the ribbon UI. For some reason you give the ribbon UI a third interface option ...

Here's the solution I was given last year and it works very well! :)

Re: Default app?

Can someone explain to me how to set TextMaker NX on my Samsung tablet so it's the default app for opening .docx files?

Thank you.

I don't have a Samsung tablet to test, but the standard Android method (on a Pixel or other phones and tablets with a more vanilla version of Android) is that when ...

Is development still active?

I have a license for office 2024.

Nice program but I think there are many features missing compared to MS Excel & MS Word.
Of course I am aware that MS has so much more money for development but there are also many free alternatives that have many features.
I think ...

Re: Print Toolbar Icon Differences and Descriptions

I will admit that I have never used the printer button with no dots for probably 20 years on any Windows programs, but the two icons are pretty standard convention across Windows programs as far as I know. I always use the printer with 3 dots because those three dots mean it's going to show you the ...

Re: Feature Request: New Paste Special

Even if this feature is missing, there is no need to change each quote mark separately. An opening quote mark is usually always preceded by a space or a praragraph mark. So you can use the replace function in TextMaker instead:

1st pass: replace Space" with Space“
2nd pass: replace Paragraph mark ...

Feature Request: New Paste Special

I'm assuming what I'm looking for is a feature Textmaker doesn't have rather than a bug or my missing something.

I've just entered the editing phase of an anthology I've been putting together over the past 4 years. I discovered that, in only the last few stories, I had straight quotes instead of ...

No problem here, also Windows 10 with FlexPDF 2025. Scrolling is smooth as can be, even with bog PDFs.

Re: Convert numbers stored as text to numbers

Hello,

I'm using data tables extracted from the Statistics Canada website. The download format is in CSV.

I can import the files in Planmaker. The data tables contained in the files appear as a normal spreadsheet data (one number in each cell). The columns of numbers displayed look OK but the ...
