The task I have is: given a input cell, and an output cell (depending on the input cell via biiig block of data and intermediate computations) , create a data table of the output vs input.
So, I can create a long list of input values.
Then what is the easiest way to make planmaker use each input ...

"Goal Seek" limits for the "Variable cell"
Hi!
I just tried "goal seek" tool for the first time.
Would it be hard to add the options to specify the limits (min and max) within which to search/attempt different values for the "Variable cell"?
thanks

Re: very slow "copy" operation
@SuperTech, is it true in general that the Ribbon interface has more functions than the Classic one? I could not find a way to disable the auto recalculations in the Classic one.

Re: very slow "copy" operation
But have you noticed this:
"I noticed that grouping (outlining) rows/columns affects the behavior in the "large" sheet: when the groups are collapsed, it's as described above; but when uncollapsed - the "copy" op is very slow, but the "paste" is much faster."

Re: very slow edits when rows/columns are Grouped with Outliner.
I just tested the same file in the most recent, trial version of Microsoft 365's Excel, and there are no such delays there, regardless of outlining status.

very slow edits when rows/columns are Grouped with Outliner.
Edits like just writing a cell (ex, typing a number over a cell) or deleting a cell ("Del" key) take very long (5 secs on my computer) when many rows/columsn are grouped and collapsed ("Outliner" tool).
Ungrouping same rows, or removing the grouping entirely, makes the same edits very fast (well ...

In case another data point helps:
my attached file is about 3MB, takes around 13secs to save (on a laptop with 2-core, 2.13GHz, 4GB ram)
The file also has groups but removing the groupings did not make a difference for saving.

Re: very slow "copy" operation in a big document
I have attached it.
To reproduce: go to the 2nd sheet, "test" and try copy a cell then paste. The "copy" op itself takes very long; while the "paste" op is fast.
Inside the 1nd sheet "large", not the "copy" but the "paste" operation takes very long.

very slow "copy" operation
Standard "copy" of a cell, after a "paste", takes about 4-5 seconds.

Closing grouped rows/cols
Hi,
regarding Grouping of rows or cols, please consider this little enhancement:
Have the "-" button for closing/hiding the group at both beginning and end of the grouping-line.
