Very busy when closing document

My computer is ARM - Mac M2 OSX 15.6.1
TextMaker Professional 2024 (rev S1224.0308) 64bit ARM

I have a problem closing documents.
Most often when closing a document I get the busy (wheel of fortune) and end up force closing textmaker.
Today I pressed report and obtained the report that would have gone to Apple and it stated that the time up to the point I got impatient was 27 seconds.
This has been happening for some months, but it is not every time and I see no pattern.
'Perhaps' it depends on how long I have been in that document.
