SoftMaker keeps creating a new Documents folder

I have set up SoftMaker so that the template folder and the folder for file versions is identical in all of the programs. It is consistent across all programs and is D:\GJ\Documents\SoftMaker.

However, every time I start any of the programs, it creates D:\Documents\SoftMaker and adds all the base files again in there.

How do I stop that from happening?

The template and file-version folders do not control the main SoftMaker user-data folder. SoftMaker creates that folder under the Windows Documents known folder, which on your system currently appears to be D:\Documents.

Please check Windows Explorer: right-click Documents → Properties → Location. If you want SoftMaker’s folder under D:\GJ\Documents, set the Windows Documents location to D:\GJ\Documents (or move it there using that dialog), then restart SoftMaker.

Please do not delete the existing D:\Documents\SoftMaker folder before copying/merging any settings you want to keep, since it can contain templates, dictionaries, and other user settings.
