I am formatting a book for printing through Amazon KDP. I was using Baskerville Nova Pro, from the Megafont NOW collection. I don't like the numeral characters in Baskerille Nova Pro, so I uninstalled that font and I installed Baskerville Serial -- also from the Megafont NOW collection. Windows Settings shows Baskerville Serial as being installed (7 typefaces). Baskerville Serial shows up as a font in Microsoft Word 2016.
Baskerville Serial does NOT show up as a font in TextMaker 2026. I checked Tools > Fonts to see if it might not have been checked. It doesn't show up in the list of fonts at all. Why don't I see that font?
I tried closing out everything and rebooting the computer. That didn't help.
Baskervile Serial is shown as available in Microsoft Word, Microsoft WordPad, Microsoft Publisher, and LibreOffice Writer. It does NOT show up in TextMaker 2026, PlanMaker 2026, or Presentations 2026. I don't know what else to try or to check.

Re: Font problem
Thank you for posting.
We were unable to reproduce the problem. We downloaded the Baskerville Serial font, and it appeared correctly in TextMaker. Please check again and share a screenshot showing where the font is not appearing.
For reference, I have attached a screenshot showing the Baskerville Serial font in TextMaker.
Please check for below as well:
To enable or disable fonts, go to File > Options > Font Options, then check the font you want to enable or uncheck the font you want to disable. Click OK to save the changes.

Re: Font problem
I went to Tools > Options > Fonts almost immediately. Baskerville Serial doesn't even appear on the list.

Re: Font problem
I uninstalled all the fonts in the Baskerville Serial family, then I reinstalled all seven fonts. There was no change. The Baskerville Series fonts show up as available in every other program (Microsoft Word, WordPad, LibreOffice Writer ... but not in TextMaker 2026.
Should I try reinstalling SoftMakerOffice? I don't want to do that if it's going to use up another of my licenses. It's a long story, but I currently have eight (8) Windows 10 computers, and there is another that will probably arrive within a week. I need all my licenses -- I can't afford to use up another activation because TextMaker can't find a font on my system.

Re: Font problem
This is rather curious. I can't reproduce the problem (in Linux). Because of what you describe it can not be a font-cache thing. So here are a dew ideas:
1. Move/rename the SoftMaker folder in order to reset your config. Let's rule out a config problem.
2. Do you have TM2026 in one of your other machines? Can you reproduce the problem there too?
3. What about TM2024? It happens there too? (I keep it around in case i find a regression)

Re: Font problem
Not sure what's the path in Windows. Could be in documents or in %appdata% ... somewhere there. I can't help you there, but is the one with all templates and config files.
Re: Font problem
I found it. I renamed it. I restarted TextMaker, and Baskerville Serial still does not appear.

Re: Font problem
I have installed SoftMaker Office 2026 on another Dell desktop computer. Tge second machine is also running Windows 10 but it is approximately a year newer than the one with the font problem
Baskerville Serial is available in TextMaker on the second (newer) computer.
