Please add global menu support for Linux

Currently KDE Plasma is the only desktop that offers a global menu applet out of the box.
LibreOffice already utilizes this feature.
If there would be support for it that would mean that the application menu bar wouldn't have to take extra space, instead it would be in the top panel at system level.
