I am accustomed to clicking the 3rd mouse button and then moving the cursor to a position either above or below the 'double arrow' symbol that this generates to scroll quickly through a document.
This does not appear to be active/available in the BETA.

Thank you for your post. The reported mouse feature and issue could not be reproduced. Testing with a Logitech G304, the 3rd and 4th buttons were configured for scroll up and scroll down and functioned correctly in TextMaker Beta. Please verify your mouse button configuration in the manufacturer’s application.

Re: 3rd Mouse Button (not the wheel) To Quickly Scroll Documents
If you click the third mouse (that is hidden under the scroll wheel) in other word-processing and pdf editors, this brings up an icon that shows up and down facing arrows (image attached). Placing the mouse pointer above or below this icon allows the document to scroll without any additional user intervention. The speed of scrolling is controlled by moving the pointer further away from the icon.

I never knew that function was there, but I have verified that it works in Word and it works in LibreOffice Writer, but it doesn't work in the SoftMaker Office 2026 Beta.

Yes, that's activated by pressing the mouse scroll wheel button — currently, it's not implemented in TextMaker. I've passed this along as an improvement suggestion.
