Have long standing TextMaker Defects been corrected yet?

Post by RKanarek »

Greetings,

I am not a beta tester, but I am curious whether some long standing TextMaker defects have been corrected yet.

Of primary/urgent importance:
1. Changeable defaults for subscripts, superscripts, and pasted images/etc.
It's been weeks, but my fingers literally still hurt. I use TextMaker 2024 Pro for both word processing and DTP'ing, and I recently edited/created several of documents, some containing hundreds of pages with who knows how many images, etc. After each image pasted, my "OCD" required that I go back and edit the unwanted/unchangeable "wrap margins," the "width" (which TM had reduced to allow for the wrong wrap margins), and the "Lines" (borders).

Note that this has been going on for DECADES, and having it fixed would be of far more interest, at least to me, than SM's rather sad and belated touting of unwanted AI support, sigh.

As regards superscripts and subscripts, I created my own character styles with them set as I please, and my own hot keys for them, but this does no good when importing text.

Of Importance:
2. OLE Problems
Has TM's subtle difficulties with OLEs been fixed yet?

3. TOC Problems
Has TM's problems with TOCs been fixed yet? E.g.:
On rare occasions, TOCs are generated with the page numbers correct, but mishandled.
Tabs in Headers are not dealt with properly when TOCs (both literal and PDF-embedded) are created.

Kind regards,
Richard Kanarek
