Zotero references in pasted text are converted into plain text

Zotero works well within one document and inserts references that are recognized by Zotero and TextMaker as such. However. pasting a text from one document to another or inserting one document into another turns Zotero references into plain text, no longer recognizable by Zotero. As a result, the references have to be inserted again manually, which takes a lot of time and aggravation at this bug. Has anyone encountered this problem?
