Spell Check problem

When Im spell checking and I want to change to an unknown word, I insert the word, Im prompted to say if I want to add the word to the dictionary, and then, instead of correcting the word and replacing it, it adds the new word right in front of the older.
Below, the image shows the situation - I wanted to correct "manitou" to "Manitou". It didnt exist (now its on the list below because I've already added it), so in the field "Word" I inserted "Manitou", clicked "change", was prompetd, selected add. And instead of replacing the old word with the new one, it only added it in front.
This happened with others. ODT file.

Please go to Review | Spell Check dropdown | Edit User Dictionaries and verify that the word is entered correctly there. Also, let us know whether you are facing this problem only with this word or with other words as well.

We were unable to reproduce the issue with both the same word shown in your screenshot and with other words. Kindly share the problematic file along with the screenshot again for further investigation.

The word is correctly entered.
Its not only this word, it happens almost always when I add a new word. I can detail its an odt file.
Sorry, I cant share my file, it has personal details about someone's life - its a life story, so to speak.
I'll see if I can share another file without sensitive information - the original file is about 40 pages long, so cropping it its out of question.
