RPM does not verify - no digest

I'm trying to install softmaker 2024 on Fedora 43 and I get this error when either I install via the command prompt or the rpm file.

package softmaker-office-2024-2024-1228.x86_64 does not verify: no digest

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it or do I just need to wait?

Thank you for posting the error. Please try the following workaround:

When you have the RPM package, perform the installation through the command line with additional parameters like this:

sudo rpm -ivh --nodigest ./[package name].rpm

The issue is related to rpm 6.0 no longer supporting older types of encryption, and Fedora 43 has moved to that.

Is there any plans to update Softmaker 2024 to support rpm 6.0, because this is now preventing my system from updating. The entire point of using a repository is so that I don't have to manually update a program every time a new version releases.

If I have to do that constantly, I might as well just move to another office suite and avoid this issue entirely, which sucks since I:

A) Really like this office suite
B) Paid money for it.

So I ran this command, sudo rpm -ivh --nodigest ./[package name].rpm, and it gave me a conflict error with my previous Softmaker install. So I had to uninstall my old version, install this version and re-input my key just to install a minor update.

Revision 1230 of SoftMaker Office 2024 and NX, released yesterday, comes with RPM 6 compatible RPM installation packages, solving your problem.

Note that we had to replace the SoftMaker Office 2024 RPM today (an hour ago) in the repository since that was originally still built the old way. If you already have updated from the repository and the updated package is not found, download and install the RPM straight from the website:

(SoftMaker Office NX rev 1230 was not affected by this temporary issue.)
