Return to last editing position ... not working.

Post by swarfendor437 »

Hi,

Recently remembered to checkmark this in Options | Files. This evening while opening the Unofficial Manual for Zorin 18 Core it opened at the first page, note where I was when saving the document after last edit.

If this document is in ODT format, then the feature is not supported in TextMaker. As I have said many many times, SMO's ODT support is lagging behind A LOT. TM only supports version 1.0 of the specification while, the current stable specification is version 1.3, that is a few years old now. Then there are the bugs on the TM implementation... I have reported several over the years, most of them, fixed right now, but some still linger.

Many thanks. That has saved me from posting the next issue. Pasting an image from the VM of Zorin OS I am currently writing about, instead of pasting at the position I wanted it to be placed it shot to the front cover, over 150 pages from where it should be!
