Linux Mint Update to Beta

I have found no issues with updating to this (nor did I have with Windows version) Looking forward to using the new updates. May help to say the Linux Mint is on a an old Surface Pro 4, which Microsoft made redundant but has been working well. Have not yet checked PlanMaker or Presenter

I am also running the beta on Linux Mint. The only problem so far is the program freezes when I switch printers. I avoid this by exporting to PDF and printing the PDF.
I am not sure if the printer problem is in Textmaker, the OS, or the printer's own software.

Hi Supertech,
Launch computer, turn on printer. NB: This printer is listed under an incorrect name and the correct name in my printer options. The correct name is important because I print wirelessly across 10 feet (3 metres).
Find document to test. Double click to open, which defaults to Textmaker 2024. Save a PDF version.
Quit document and reopen in Textmaker NX 2026 Beta. Try to print. Program freezes.
Reboot. Reopen document. Attempt to change printer to correct name. Program freezes.
Reboot. Open PDF. Try to print. Fail. Change printer to correct name. Print successfully.

Open Softmaker Folder and find Office 24 and Office NX folders present, inside Settings subfolder two sets of setting files, for 24 and NX.
Throw out everything 24. Repeat tests.
Again the PDF prints.

Accidentally launching a file in Textmaker 2024 only results in a demand for my licence from the program and a warning that I have only zero days left in my free trial.

This problem could be the printer settings in my home network. It could also be a confused Softmaker Office, odd as that might be.
I am going to reinstall the operating system, or something from the Debian-verse and see what happens if I install only the NX beta and no Version 2024.

I found the problem.
It was the two versions of Softmaker Office. The SoftMaker folder had a double supply of subfolders, with names including either 2024 or NX. Inside the Settings subfolder were duplicate files, for example both "tmnxconfig.ini" and "tm2024config.ini".
I reinstalled Linux Mint 22.2, then installed only the NX 2026 Beta. I opened the test document and found the printer dialogue aimed at the correct printer name. I successfully printed the test document.
I think the problem I had can only occur in a beta test. When else would a person have two versions of the same software on their computer with duelling settings?

Otherwise the program runs well. I will probably upgrade when it goes live. As usual, I will not go for the NX version.
