Is there a function to insert the date the current document has been modified in a spreadsheet

Thanks for posting your query. Yes, you can use the function today() which will return the current date.

I don't want to revive an old thread, but do I have to put anything in between the ()? I am putting TODAY() in a cell and it just disaplys "TODAY()"

No, there is no need to put anything there but for working of any function, please type "=" before the function. So, it will be "=Today()".

yes, I also forgot to put in the = now it works fine.
