copy / paste a long range

I searched and in one thread it appears the answer to copy a range of cells is to use the drag function. Is this the only way.
If I am working with spreadsheet with 2000 rows dragging is taking time. Is there no way of copying the formulas down in a different way, like copy/paste with focus on the first and last cell of the range?

Thanks for your post. Yes, there are multiple ways to achieve this, one of the way is using following steps:

1. Click on the cell from which you want to copy the formula.
2. Press Ctrl+C to copy.
3. Go to the previous cell which have full column.
4. Press Ctrl+Down to reach the last cell of that column.
5. Press right arrow to position the last cell of the destination column.
6. Press Shift+Ctrl+Up arrow to select the entire range from the current cell to the next non-empty cell.
7. Ctrl+V to paste the formula.

I have explained it in very details, that's why it may look long, but it's a very quick method. Modify as per your requirement and spread of your data.
