1. Is it possible to make the lines around cells either white or transparent? How?
2. Is it possible to include column and row sizes when copying a sheet to another sheet? How?

No, but you can completely disable the sheet grid in the menu ("View").

In a spreadsheet, all cells in a row share the same height. All cells in a column share the same width. I think it would be quite surprising to a user if pasting something changes the height or width of totally unrelated cells.

Go to the View tab of the ribbon and uncheck the checkbo "Show sheet grid".
