Re: delete/remove frame

Are you just looking for removing the border around the text frame? Then you should first determine if there is really a border. If it is a thin gray line, it just shows the dimensions of the text frame and does not print. Else, right-click on the frame border, open the properties and remove the bor...

On the General tab, uncheck text output and check image output, then you get JPEGs of the full pages.

Re: Error syspin64.exe when uninstalling FreeOffice 2024

That's because when you are installing the latest FreeOffice 2024 using the latest MSI, it is running the MSI of the old installed FreeOffice (which still has the problem) to perform the uninstall.

Again, ignore the error message. It does not do any harm.

Re: Change from traditional chinese to simplified chinese

You need to format the text in a font that uses the Simplified Chinese style of Chinese glyphs. Note that this does not magically turn your text into understandable Simplified Chinese. You will need to rewrite it, or have it being rewritten by someone who understands Simplified Chinese. It's not onl...

Re: Can't make Ubuntu font bold in Linux Mint 22 ...

You should check if you have Ubuntu Bold installed. Other applications can artificially make a regular font bold (which looks kind of ugly), but SoftMaker Office does not do that.

Re: Incorrect e-mail address while trying to ask for product key

The requirement is that you should have a working mail server. :-)

You publish an IPv6 address for the MX record of your domain, but no server responds there. Either configure your mail server to listen on IPv6 or remove the IPv6 from your MX DNS record.

Re: Writing Arabic with English in the same line problem

Don't simply right-align the text. Instead, set the paragraph's writing direction to right-to-left.

Re: Install failed error code 2503.

This is because your Windows folder for temporary files has the wrong access rights and the Windows Installer therefore cannot store any temporary files in it. You can repair this as follows: Open your Windows folder in Windows Explorer. This folder is usually called c:\Windows. Find the Temp folder...

Re: Presentations NX

This is not a PPTX file, but a PRDX file renamed to PPTX. If you load this file in Presentations and choose File > Save As, you will see that the file type is "Presentations".

You really need to save as a PowerPoint PPTX, and then PowerPoint can open the file.

We use our own Hunspell dictionaries. What happens in /usr/share/hunspell is irrelevant to SoftMaker Office.

Re: F5 and shift-F5 not working

Most likely, you have a keyboard where the function keys have a double functional assignment. You will need to press some "Fn" key to actually send a function key code and not the other feature your computer manufacturer assigned to it.
