Re: How to make graphs

I presume your equations have an x input and a y output. I presume the x input is the same for all three equations that you wish to compare. Make a column containing that set of x-values. Then make three columns for the y-values from the 3 equations. Turn the equations into formulae that Planmaker c...

Re: Error opening C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\FileName

I wonder if you installed the recent Windows 10 feature update? It was supposed to back up all your files to MS Onedrive, but some people found that it had simply deleted all their files. If this is the case I do not know how you get your files back.

Re: Can't see how to insert image into cell

There are tutorials showing how to paste pictures into an Excel cell.

see for example

Re: Operator AND inside function

If you enclose the two conditions being tested by the "If" statement in brackets it should work.

so

if((Table1.#a1<5) & (Table1.#c3<5); "Small"; "Large")

should print "Small" or "Large" depending on the values in Table1. It did in my tests.

Solver

I think there are several open source solvers for spreadsheets. If John W. Foreman (“Data Smart”, Wiley, 2014) is to believed some of them are better than the solver supplied with Excel (which, apparently, has been somewhat crippled in more recent versions of Excel). I wondered if it would be possib...

Re: xlsx versus xlxm

" If I open it in Plan Maker and then try to save it as "xlsx" it says a file by that name already exists but shows it with extension "xlsm"."

Save to another folder?

Re: Problem with nested If formulas

Thanks for your reply. Yes I was aware of the need for quotes around the "s" and the "f". I wasn't aware that the data had to be text (that would be silly since they have to be manipulated as numbers). Excel permits a single nested if formula for both text and numerical codes.

Problem with nested If formulas

I am not 100% sure this is a bug or just some error on my part, and I haven't tested it in the Windows version. I frequently have to place students' grades into classes of pass for various reasons. The institution I work for uses classes such as "first", "upper second", "second", "third", "supplemen...

Re: Internet connection needed for every start up

I am not terribly sure what you are asking. I am using Linux Mint 17.3 on an ordinary PC (Intel NUC). If I am not connected to the web Softmaker 2016 just states that I do not have enough permissions to run the software and stops. If I am connected to the web Softmaker Office 2016 runs. This happens...

Internet connection needed for every start up

It seems that the copy of Softmaker 2016 for Linux that I have requires an internet connection every time the software starts (not just once). Please tell me that this can be fixed?

A PC World article says that DirectX 12 is included in Windows 10, but that you may need to update drivers to use it.

Help / manuals not updated in latest service pack

Help topics related to pivot tables in Planmaker (I have not checked other omissions) have not been included in the latest update. But thanks for the update.
