Freeoffice F1058 wont open pw protected spreadsheet

Good afternoon - hope some-one might be able to help
Earlier today while opening a spreadsheet, a SoftMaker message invited me to update to v F1058.
But it wouldn't then open the spreadsheet after entering the password; it just closed without warning.
I ended up deleting FreeOffice Planmaker ...
