I can't install CUPS on that machine and attempts at defining PDF printers have not resolved the situation. Is there a cmdline switch that disables or speeds up this printer check as I can't (and never will) print from that machine?

In the field I'm working on a system with no installed printer and no printing. Planmaker (as well as the other FO apps) basically works as expected... but after starting the program it hangs for ~30 seconds. Afterwards all is working.

And as I said, ~30 other apps have installed correctly, w/o any mishap, some pretty big like Vivaldi browser. So I think this is a problem of your apps and not the tablet.

Install was on internal storage.

There is no SoftMaker folder and I think this is part of the problem... perhaps some permission thing (I did give both apps the storage access permission they require, so that can't be the reason). On other devices where I installed I do have this folder.

As I wrote in another thread here, the activation process for FO2021 is broken. If SoftMaker think they need such a measure then they should make it easy and RELIABLE. I have described some of the problems I had in the other thread which SoftMaker so far has chosen to ignore.
