I have cell containing a number, 123.45. The cell is right justified.
I used the Cell->Number Format function to set the format to Currency, 2 decimal places. Only the Thousands separator box is checked. Currency is USA $.
The data is the cell is now shifted slightly to the left. That is, there is a space about the size of a character between the 5 and the right edge of the cell.
When I look at the Cell format again and click “Custom” I see:
[$$-409]#,##0.00_);([$$-409]#,##0.00)
If I manually change it to
"$"#,##0.00
the number moves back to the right.
I am running PlanMaker 2021 (rev S1060.1203) 64bit on Windows 11.
Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it, other than using a custom format for my fields?
Incorrect Alignment in Currency Cells
Re: Incorrect Alignment in Currency Cells
Thanks for your post. This is happening because for certain customization that last extra space is required.e.g. to represent negative currency in (123.45) format.
You can either use custom currency format as you already used or please change this negative currency format from ($1.1) to -$1.1 etc.
To do that, please open control panel > Region > Additional settings > Currency. Please refer to the below screenshot:
