Home | Cells | Insert |Insert complete rows (or columns)
OR
Right click a column or line and Insert Cells.
It is illogical to hide the command to insert ROWS under a menu selection for "Cells."

Re: Default file locations

By the way, SoftMaker Office has a most handy feature: Quick path (at the bottom of the Save dialogue). I use different directories for different kinds of documents (e.g. invoices, letters etc). So neither a fixed directory nor SoftMaker's way of offering always the directory last used meets my nee...

Re: Default file locations

What is counter-intuitive about simply remembering the last folder you worked in? Or doesn't do it do that on your computer? It assumes that the next file I want to access is in the same subdirectory as the last file I worked on. That may be the case for some people but for most people I think that...

Re: Inserting rows problem

Yes, that method works. Using the drop-down menu does not work.

Re: Inserting rows problem

I know at least two ways to insert a row. Either I mark the complete row below by clicking the row number in the left column, then go to Worksheet > Insert cells (or type Ctrl-+), or I set the cursor in one of the cells in the row below, then go to Worksheet > Insert cells and select "Insert comple...

Re: Default file locations

When you create a new TextMaker or PlanMaker document, then go to File > Save... or File > Save as..., which directory is offered in the Save dialogue? It initially takes me to "Computer." From there, I have to select the drive, then the major subdirectory, and then the sub-subdirectory below that.

Re: Default file locations

I'm sorry to be blunt, but that's just stupid. It makes navigating files in FreeOffice very awkward and counter-intuitive.

Default file locations

Maybe I missed it, but I cannot find where/how to set a default directory for files created in FreeOffice applications. If I go to Tools ==> Options ==> Files tab, it sows me a directory where templates are stored (which I guess I can change, but I'm not interested in changing where templates are st...

Inserting rows problem

I have an existing spreadsheet that was originally created in Excel. To update the data, I needed to add new rows between my last entry and a line that included totals of two of the columns. First problem: the "Insert row(s) command in the classic menu is VERY well hidden. The submenu this command i...

Re: Can't use SoftMaker HD on Samsung tablet or phone

Is there any word on when the new version may be available? I would very much like to have Softmaker Office running on my tablet for compatibility with my desktop and notebook Windows computers.

FreePDF v. FlexiPDF

Is there a comparison of the differences between FreePDF and FlexiPDF? I'm a registered user of FlexiPDF but I'm just wondering if it's worth downloading FreePDF for a couple of older notebook computers that don't get used very often.

Can't use SoftMaker HD on Samsung tablet or phone

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet and a J3 Eclipse cell phone. I installed SoftMaker Office HD on both, and I had to remove them. I have cloud accounts on Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google drive. TextMaker won't connect to any of them when I try to open a document. I get an error message about somet...

Re: Why I have held off buying SoftMaker Office

Martin, I don't think you understand. Access IS part of Microsoft's office suite. Base IS part of the Libre Office suite. I have both, and I have used both. SoftMaker Office simply is not a full-fledged office suite if it does not have a database program ("application") in it. Any database capabilit...
