File attached.
The steps are easy:
1. Open file in TextMaker
2. Save file (with NO changes)
3. Open file in Word -- header has disappeared.
I know how to create different headers and footers in Textmaker. That's not the issue. The issue is that most of my clients use Microsoft Word. It is not ...

Default app?
Can someone explain to me how to set TextMaker NX on my Samsung tablet so it's the default app for opening .docx files?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Supported cloud services
Poking around in the settings for Textmaker on my Samsung tablet, it tells me that I can set up TextMaker to work with Box, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, NextCloud, and Yandex as cloud services. My problem is that I don't use those cloud services. I use pCloud, IceDrive, and Proton Drive.

Oh, my goodness. WordStar!
Greetings, fellow old-timer. My first piece of software when I bought my very first personal computer (after MS-DOS, of course) was WordStar. I hadn't thought about WordStar for a great many years ... until I saw your comment.

SoftMaker User Forum is broken
Since about a week ago I have found that I am unable to post on this site when using Firefox, which has been my browser of choice for ... well, for a very long time. I only started noticing problems about a week (or so) ago. I don't have a problem viewing discussions, but if I try to post a response ...

TextMaker not retaining Word Formatting
As a consulting editor, I have to work with files created in Word (mostly), LibreOffice, OpenOffice, and occasionally WPS Office and Google Docs. I try to insist that everything gets submitted in the Microsoft .docx file format, since that is -- by a large margin -- the most prevalent file format ...

Re: TextMaker, background color in selected text
You can change the background color of selected text by using “Highlight text” and “Paragraph shading” features.
No. You are missing the point. Neither of these features changes just the on-screen appearance of text selected for some sort of edit. This is what text looks like on my screen if I ...

I do that ... every time the prompt appears. And the next time I start FlexiPDF, the prompt reappears.

Annoying nag screen when opening
I'm still using FlexiPDF Professional 2022. The new features in 2025 aren't enough to make it worth the time and expense of upgrading eight computers.
The problem: EVERY time I start FlexiPDF, I am greeted by a nag screen that says there is an updated version available, and it asks me if I want to ...

Re: Why is FlexiPDF asking for a password?
However, if you check the document properties — for example, with Adobe Reader — you will see that write protection (not read protection) is active.
So if other readers do not display a message, but FlexiPDF displays a message about password protection, I don't think this is wrong.
In FlexiPDF ...

Re: A fifth product, datamaker
I didn't realize that SoftMaker is such a small company. Your premise makes sense. I think most people (and most company employees) who use Microsoft Office use primarily Word and Excel, with a smaller but still significant number sometimes using Powerpoint. I know the municipality I worked for had ...
