Thanks.

Re: Formatting question

Open the Edit > Replace dialogue box. With the cursor in the "Search for" box, click the "Special" box at lower right, and from the drop-down select "Paragraph break." Repeat. With the cursor in the "Replace with" box, again open the "Special" box and select 'Paragraph break." Now click on "Replace ...

Outline Fonts in Megafonts Now

Is there a list somewhere of what outline fonts are included in Megafonts Now? I need an outline font 9or two) for a book cover, and the only way I can see to find outline fonts is to laboriously scroll through the entire download directory of fonts in Megafonts Now to look for outlines. So far I ha...

Re: Cell borders handling very unfortunately VERY different between ^c and ^x!

I have always wondered why spreadsheet programs do that. The Calc spreadsheet in Libre Office does the same thing, as does Excel. And you are correct -- it's very annoying.

Database issue

Gentlefolks - I have asked before when you will add a real database to SoftMaker Office, and the answer was that there is a database built into TextMaker. Even compared to the Base database in Libre Office and Open Office, the database in TextMaker is very lacking in capability. The biggest issue is...

Re: High Contrast Mode

Is there a way to set the document background color from the classic (menu bar) interface?

I just switched to the ribbon interface to try your method. I don;'t have a "Background" command under "Layout" -- or anywhere else that I can find.

Re: VLOOKUP failure

Martin - Thank you for the quick response. It turns out the problem I thought I had encountered was a problem of working when I'm tired. The spreadsheet has a drop-down box to load one of the cells from a lookup table. Everything that happens in the sheet depends on the selection from this drop-down...

VLOOKUP failure

I have a spreadsheet that was created in Excel 2003. Several cells and formulae rely on the VLOOKUP function. One of the cells is tied to a warning that is supposed to pop up only if the result in that cell exceeds a pressure that is entered into another cell by VLOOKUP. It works correctly in Excel ...

Re: Default locations for stored files

I have previously complained that TextMaker does not allow the user to designate a default file location. The response was that SoftMaker Office defaults to the location from which the last file was opened. That might make sense for some users in some circumstances, but for me it makes finding, open...

Re: [Resolved]Inserting rows and columns

This command cannot only insert complete rows but also parts of rows. That's why it's called "Insert cells" and not "Insert rows". What you want is an additional command for complete rows only. Personally, I don't think much of having duplicate commands for the same action at different places. I on...

Chart format problem

I just installed the beta of SoftMaker Office 2021. One of the first things I did was to use PlanMaker to open a spreadsheet that I have been maintaining in Excel 2016 (for Windows). The worksheet includes three charts. Two of the three appear to have come in okay but, on one, where my chart doesn't...

Re: Megafonts Now problem

Basically, it didn't work. It has been quite some time since I tried it and I don't remember the specifics, but I did communicate the problems to you at the time. It was bad enough that I had to uninstall the app from my tablet. Which means, of course, that I cannot try to reproduce the issues now.

Re: Formatting Bookmarks

I just realized that FlexiPDF 2019 also does not properly display bookmarks that have been formatted in Acrobat. My day job involves numerous code books that run hundreds of pages each. The formatting of bookmarks with colors and boldface make navigation much easier. Obviously, since it is being don...
