Re: SEction Break Problem
In Format > Columns, "Page break" is checked. This adds a page break at the start of the new section. I suspect this is the reason for the issue.
Yes ... and no. The fact that box is checked is indeed the cause of the problem. Unchecking that box in the TextMaker dialogue for Format > Columns ...

Re: Documentation request
Thank you for your post, but we already have Ribbon commands and corresponding menu commands in the appendix of our user manual. You can use this for reference whenever required.
I have looked at that, and in all honesty I do not find it very helpful My solution has been that I somehow found on ...

He s not asking for a print preview. He is asking for a preview from the Format > Paragraph dialogue, which allows an instant, real-time preview of the effects of changes to the paragraph format.

In the paragraph dialog, the "paragraph" doesn't yet have a preview feature like word. We hope you will consider and add this feature on both computers and phones.

But it has to be as aligned as MICROSOFT OFFICE. On both phones and computers.Like Microsoft office 2021 or later. It will look better if you fix it
I still do not have any idea what you are talking about. I just installed Microsoft Word on an Android tablet. There is no red horizontal line ...

Re: Tab object
It seems that what Mr Văn Quang Nguyễn meant was that when inserting a circle... in ‘shape’, a new command tab, ‘object’, appears; that is why he suggested changing it back to ‘shape’ so that new users, particularly those switching from Microsoft Office to Softmaker Office, would feel more ...

Do you mean something like this?
It won't hurt anything, but I don't think it adds anything of value.

Re: Tab object
The object tab should be renamed to the shape tab when inserting a circle or any shape. This will help those who have just migrated software from Microsoft to softmaker office .
How does this help people migrating from Microsoft Word? Word doesn't have an Object tab, and in Word tabs do not ...

Re: Helpful Thesaurus Suggestion
I prefer to use a printed Roget's thesaurus, but this sounds like a very useful suggestion. It would be of great benefit to those who use a digital thesaurus. Especially if the thesaurus window is a moveable window that can be pushed down or mover to stay out of the way of the main body of the ...

This also works in the Windows version.
In the future, questions about FreeOffice should be posted to the FreeOffice discussion area. You posted in the area for discussing the beta test version of SoftMaker Office 2026.
