Annoying nag screen when opening
I'm still using FlexiPDF Professional 2022. The new features in 2025 aren't enough to make it worth the time and expense of upgrading eight computers. The problem: EVERY time I start FlexiPDF, I am greeted by a nag screen that says there is an updated version available, and it asks me if I want to d...

Re: Why is FlexiPDF asking for a password?
However, if you check the document properties — for example, with Adobe Reader — you will see that write protection (not read protection) is active. So if other readers do not display a message, but FlexiPDF displays a message about password protection, I don't think this is wrong. In FlexiPDF, you...

Why is FlexiPDF asking for a password?
The (U.S.) NTSB (National Transportation safety Board) final report on the loss of the tourist submersible Titan is been released. The report is an 87-page PDF. When I try to open it with FlexiPDF, I get an error message telling me that a password is required. Yet the file opens fine with Adobe Read...

Re: A fifth product, datamaker
I didn't realize that SoftMaker is such a small company. Your premise makes sense. I think most people (and most company employees) who use Microsoft Office use primarily Word and Excel, with a smaller but still significant number sometimes using Powerpoint. I know the municipality I worked for had ...

Re: Pages added to my document
Would you mind posting the document? Not an image of it -- the actual file, so we can see what's going on inside it. I prepared a book proposal and inserted page breaks so new topics would automatically go to the next page. I manually added page numbers centered at the bottom of each page since I wa...

Re: Setting the default font and size for everything in the TextMaker app
I do not think there is any word processing program that will do what you want to accomplish.

Web fonts?
The Megafont NOW package includes all fonts in web font versions. Until now, I haven't paid any attention to that but I'm at a point in life where I think I need a web site. So I apparently have 7,500 fonts I can choose from for my web sitem but I have no idea what that means or how to use them. Is ...

Re: Setting the default font and size for everything in the TextMaker app
The default font attributes only apply to new documents. Why would you want to change the formatting of an existing document when you open it? Most people are more concerned with making certain that the format of an existing document does NOT change when it is opened.

Re: Older versions available?
Never mind! Just color me stupid. I thought I had installed SoftMaker Office on all three tablets, and I was correct. On the older ones, they don't show up in "Manage Apps & Device," most likely because they are an older version and the update can't be installed on them. But I do have ...

Older versions available?
In the process of installing the update for SoftMaker Office on Android, I discovered that I have SoftMaker Office installed on only one of three tablets. When I try to install it on the other two, searching the Google Play Store doesn't return any hits. I assume this is because they are so old that...
