Set Tabs forever

Hi!

I want to set tabs for my documents imported from Word Perfect.

I select everything in the document.
I go to · Format > Tabs > Clear all
Then I set Default width: 0,5 cm and click on OK
I save the file, close it, open it again and the tabulations are lost in many lines than have back the default width of 1,27 cm.

I'm having a ton of problems with many things.
I don't know what else to do. This program can't be so buggy.
I think maybe the problem is the importation of my WPD documents. Maybe is something else. I don't know, but almost nothing works 100% right.

Is there a way to set a tabulation for new documents?
I've tried to set the tabulation I want in the templates in the first line but with no success.

For your first problem of lost tabulation, please provide a sample document and let us know in which format you are saving.

For generally changing the tabs in a document, you should modify the paragraph style "Normal".
