After 25 years of working with Office, I have decided to migrate to SoftMaker Office.
I appreciate the user manual (it's quite exhaustive) but I was wondering if there were any training courses that would get me up to speed quickly on the basics?
Training Courses?
Re: Training Courses?
I am not aware of ant training courses. There also isn't much to be found on YouTube, which surprised me. I have thought about doing some YouTube tutorials for TextMaker.
That said, the basic work so similarly to Microsoft Word that I haven't found much difficulty at all. However, I should not that when I use Word I run it with an add-on the emulates the "old" style (Word 2003) menu structure, and when I use SoftMaker Office I run it with the 'Classic" user interface. That makes the transition almost completely transparent.

Re: Training Courses?
I must admit that I am generally more at ease with a written manual than with video courses. That said, when I gave TextMaker a first try more than twenty years ago, I sat down for one weekend and went through the manual from start to finish. Afterwards, I had mastered the programme, not only the basic functions, but also the advanced ones. That's one thing that convinced me about TextMaker back then. The manual is really very good. And it has a chapter named "The TextMaker tour" which acts as a tutorial for beginners.
