Importing document doesn't maintain numbering format

I have a set of instructions in one document and Introduction and Overview in another.

I imported the instructions (which have a multilevel numbering format) into the other document. It changed the numbering format from 1.1.1 to 1.a etc.

Anyway around that? In the meantime I am going to attempt to reverse the process..and see what happens.

If you need to combine TextMaker documents, you should use "Insert > Text > Document."

If this doesn't work well, please share the example files and step-by-step instructions for reproducing the issue.
