A couple of things Word does better

I hope this will be seen as constructive suggestions for making TextMaker even better, and not criticism.

Select sentence, extend by sentence

In Word, hold down the Ctrl key and click-and-hold* on some text (if necessary, move the mouse a fraction). Word will select the entire sentence. Keep holding the Ctrl key and the mouse button, then drag the mouse: the selection is extended sentence-by-sentence.

Sentence selection, extended sentence-by-sentence, is incredibly useful. TextMaker already has select-and-extend-by-character (click-and-hold, then drag), select-and-extend-by-word (double-click-and-hold**, then drag), so select-and-extend-by-sentence is the next logical selection mode.

Select paragraph, extend by paragraph

In Word, double-click-and-hold** in the left margin on some text (if necessary, move the mouse a fraction). Word will select the entire paragraph. Keep holding the mouse button and drag the mouse: the selection is extended paragraph-by-paragraph. Note: TextMaker already allows selecting a paragraph by double clicking in the left margin, but it won't extend the selection paragraph-by-paragraph - it falls apart as soon as the mouse is moved, deselecting all but the first line and then extending word-by-word.

Again, paragraph selection, extended paragraph-by-paragraph, is extremely useful, and completes the logical set of selection modes:

> select and extend by character;
> select and extend by word;
> select and extend by sentence;
> select and extend by paragraph.

If TextMaker could deliver that by adding the requested behaviour for sentences and paragraphs, that would be brilliant!

PS: I make no mention of selecting a line, and extending line-by-line, because Word and TextMaker already behave the identically.
