Has the Standard edition been discontinued?

Hello,

I just received the upgrade mail for SoftMaker Office 2026 and only found the Professional edition in it. Has the Standard edition been discontinued?

If yes, I'm afraid this is where I get off Standard was exactly the right product for me - a fair price for a fast and compatible office suite with a perpetual license. I genuinely wanted to keep supporting an European company, and I have done so for thirteen years, but not at this price for features I don't need.

Is there any chance of a cheaper perpetual tier returning, or is Professional now the only buy-once option?

SoftMaker confirmed in another discussion that the Standard version has been discontinued.

I think this is a mistake, and your post confirms that. However, we don't have access to the sales breakdowns for SO 2021 and 2024. It would be interesting to see what percentage of perpetual licenses have been for Standard and how many were for Professional.
