Since about a week ago I have found that I am unable to post on this site when using Firefox, which has been my browser of choice for ... well, for a very long time. I only started noticing problems about a week (or so) ago. I don't have a problem viewing discussions, but if I try to post a response or a new topic, the system just sits there and churns for a while, then it eventually times out.
I finally had to use Microsoft Edge to be able to post, but I don't like Edge and I try not to use it. Why doesn't your system work with Firefox? The version is 140.4 ESR.

Re: SoftMaker User Forum is broken
You are not alone. I am working with Firefox 144.0.2 on a Mac and have been unable to get access to the forum using Firefox for the last ten days or so. I have already reported the issue in the German forum. Every time I try to log in, I get a timeout error message. The funny thing is that the Login actually works, but Firefox cannot display the forum page afterwards: When I go to the forum via the SoftMaker Homepage after getting the timeout message, I am logged in and can read the forum posts. When I try to post something, it's the timeout message again, but my posting actually goes through as I can see it afterwards.
This is definitely a Firefox-only problem. All other browsers work fine. I had to switch to Safari to get access to the forum. I suspect that nothing is wrong with the forum at all, but there‘s a bug in Firefox.

Re: SoftMaker User Forum is broken
This problem is fixed now. Basically all http connection failed, only https worked. You saw this only in Firefox because all other browsers silently switch to https when http fails.

Thank you. Having to resort to Edge was an unhappy moment.
