I have a spreadsheet that have several cells with text in lowercase. I need to change it change the capitalization of such rows. There is no option in the ribbon (by default) or the classical menu to achieve this. I did noticed, however, that is possible to add the capitalization commands into the ribbon, the problem is that they do not work. According to the manual, Shift+F3 should allow me to change from lowercase to uppercase, but doesn't work either.
Using PROPER (what I need), UPPER and LOWER, works, but I can't just simply go and manually add =PROPPER("string") to every cell. Is not practical.
I do not know if the capitalization commands not working this is a bug or if this commands shouldn't be available on the customize ribbon interface. However Shift+F3 not working, as the manual appendix states one can use to switch between lowercase and uppercase points to a problem here. Switching the type of the cell from default to text does not help either.
Furthermore: An option to change capitalization between lowercase, uppercase and first letter of each word is a feature already available in every other spreadsheet application I have come across. If this functionality is not available, then I would like to request for it to be added in the near future.

Re: Change capitalization
think the question: ask something about the thread, e.g., which spreadsheet app are they using — Calc? Shift+F3 in LibreOffice Calc does change case (Format > Text > ...). Actually in LibreOffice Calc, Shift+F3 cycles case for selected cells text in edit mode? Calc has Format > Text > UPPERCASE etc. The "ribbon" and "classical menu" suggests LibreOffice Notebookbar. Ask: are you selecting the cells or are you in edit mode when pressing Shift+F3? Genuine question. Also, could ask which version. 2–3 sentences, British, northern, lowercase starts, ellipses, a typo maybe.
Write it.

not sure which app this is, mate... is it LibreOffice Calc by any chance? and when you hit Shift+F3, have you got the cells selected or are you actually in edit mode inside one of them, cos in my experience that can make a bit of a difference. also wich version are you on, if you dont mind me asking?

Re: Change capitalization
Why are you going about LibreOffice Calc? It has nothing to do with it. I was quite clear: PlanMaker lacks the functionality to change capitalization despite the manual mentioning it in the appendix and the tool to customize the ribbon allowing me to add the buttons/commands to change it.
I know LibreOffice provides tools to do what I'm asking for. That's not the point. The point is PlanMaker currently can't unless you use the formulas: PROPER, UPPER and LOWER, and in my use case that solution is impractical.
