Getting graphics in labels

Post by positively »

How do I get a logo or QR code inserted into address labels? It doesn't seem to work in the initial setup, so that it's replicated throughout the page. I don't want to paste it multiple times and fiddle with the formatting.

had this exact headache last year doing labels for our allotment society's produce show... pasted the logo into the first label, and it just sat there on its own while the other 29 stayed blank. spent a good hour copying and pasting it into each one and the whole lot went wonky, text jumping about like a drunk on a Saturday night 🍺. in the end i noticed the "update labels" button on the Mailings tab in Word, hit that and it copied the first label across the lot in one go. wish id looked at that button before wasting the evening, to be fair, i was too busy swearing at it to read teh ribbon.

positively, which version of Word are you using, mate... and did you start from Mailings > Labels or a ready-made template? Also is the logo sat inline with the text or floating about, cos in my experience that makes alot of difference to wether it copies across the page.

positively, i'm not so sure the initial setup is the place to do it... in my experience that dialog only really handles the text, so i'd get the layout sorted first and then drop the logo or QR code into the top-left label. then hit "update labels" on the Mailings tab and it should copy across the lot. set the picture to "in line with text" first, mate, cos floating ones tend to wander off and wont always copy properly.
