You know absolutely nothing about the mobile version. The mobile version has features such as EPUB, PDF, Share, Compress picture, Track changes, Comments in Textmaker, QR codes and barcodes, Print, Print Preview and Print merge disabled. I think Van Quang Nguyen’s proposal for a one-off purchase package specifically for the mobile version is entirely reasonable. It helps mobile users save more money compared to monthly or annual renewals.
I know a lot about the mobile version. I have been using it on Android tablets for many years.
Van Quang Nguyen: He isn’t demanding that all features be unlocked. He has analysed the situation very thoroughly. As you can see, the mobile version has the ‘Print’, ‘Print Preview’ and ‘Print Merge’ features locked, but they have been unlocked. EPUB and PDF export have not been unlocked, as the product key for this package does not permit the unlocking of these two features.
The features unlocked with this product key are: Print; Print Merge; Print Preview; QR code and Barcode.
I think we understand completely. What "he" (and I think we all know that you and "he" are the same person, posting under two user names) wants is to have exactly the additional features "he" wants to be enabled for a one-time, lifetime payment -- with free
lifetime updates. That is not a "reasonable" proposal, it is a selfish proposal. Most users, especially on a cell phone or a tablet, do not need the ability to generate bar codes and QR codes. I think for most users, the ability to export to PDF would be a much higher priority than the ability to generate barcodes. Your proposal is carefully thought out -- to include exactly the features
you want but which are not included in the free version of the mobile app. We understand exactly what you are asking for.
Even the desktop versions, which offer lifetime licenses, do not receive free updates forever. For example, SoftMaker Office Professional 2021 received updates until the release of Softmaker Office 2024 -- after that, there were no more updates of SoftMaker Office 2021. That is standard industry practice. I still have an old laptop computer that has a copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 on it. I can still use Microsoft Office 2010 -- the license is still valid -- but I don't expect Microsoft to keep updating Office 2010. That would be nice, but it is not reasonable.
And your proposal is not reasonable, for the same reason.
