FlexiPDF: it's free!

Post by Léon »

How many more days are we confronted with this advertisement for FlexiPDF?

A few weeks ago I saw it and thought „No thanks. I use Sumatra PDF, free and perfect since years“.

Since then I saw this advertisement for FlexiPDF hundreds of times. Every time I open a document I have to click it away.

Does offering a free version of SoftMaker give you carte blanche for torturing the users?

Where do the adverts appear? Why didn’t you take a screenshot?

If the advert doesn’t appear on the page straight away, don’t worry. You can still view the content on the page

However, you’ve posted in the wrong section. You don’t need to repost. Just leave this post as it is and let Softmaker move your post to the correct section

This topic is in the right section of the forum.

The advertisement was on the right side of every document. And in the middle when opening a new document.

It finally ended a few days ago, but there is a new one in TextMaker.

For now peace returned in PlanMaker.

Please check again carefully. This section is for FreeOffice. It is where posts about the free versions of TextMaker, PlanMaker and Presentation are published. Free PDF is a separate programme; it is not included in FreeOffice when downloaded, so the section you posted in is incorrect. Softmaker has a section called: Free PDF.

But it’s all right. Everyone can make a mistake. Please leave the post as it is and Softmaker will move it to the ‘Free PDF' section.

Why not try switching off your Wi-Fi? I think that will stop the adverts in Free PDF.

Do you use the portable version of Softmaker Office NX? If so, please switch to that. This version offers a wide range of free features and is ad-free. If this is your first time using it and you’d like to switch to the Ribbon, go to the three-bar menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen; select the ‘Tools’ tab; select ‘Options’; select the ‘Interface’ tab. Click on the very first option. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Ribbon: Modern theme’.

The post is in the right forum section. I did NOT make a mistake.

The advert was for FlexiPDF, right, but published in TextMaker and PlanMaker, both part of FreeOffice in general.

Yesterday there was a new one, but this time only in TextMaker.

Have you followed the solution that Văn Quang Nguyễn outlined?

Van Quang Nguyen is referring to FreePDF, not Flexi PDF. This forum has a ‘Free PDF’ section for Free PDF users to post in. You still don’t quite understand:

+ When you download FreeOffice, it will only include TextMaker, PlanMaker and Presentation
+ FreePDF will not be installed as part of this. It is a separate installation. This means that if you want to use it, you’ll need to install it yourself.

As you’re discussing FreePDF, this post will be placed in the FreePDF section. If this were software that came pre-installed rather than requiring a separate installation, this forum wouldn’t have a FreePDF section

Please check carefully. I’ll be honest. This forum does have a FreePDF section. Many FreePDF users have posted there

At the moment, I’m waiting for a response from Softmaker regarding the emails I sent last week. It’s been a long time since I received a reply, even though I sent them via the correct customer support channel. And previously, I used to receive a response very quickly, within a day. I’d also like to ask you something: have you experienced the same issue as me? I’m just asking.

As a loyal Softmaker user—and someone who never uses office software from other companies—I won’t respond to posts about software not made by Softmaker. I’ll only respond to posts about Softmaker software when I’m able to provide an answer.

I have circled the ‘FreePDF’ section to demonstrate this

Please go to that section. You will see that many users post in it. And in the ‘FreeOffice’ section, it seems that nobody using FreePDF posts there

As you are not willing to understand me, I give up.

Good luck!
