Hello.
I am one of your customers and a user of Office 2024. I paid, penny by penny, for your software. When I decide to upgrade to a new version, I’ll do so. Thanks to your emails and website, I’m fully up to date. I do NOT need to be interrupted by annoying advertising message boxes whilst I’m working. Your software is for editing documents, presentations and spreadsheets, not for sending me adverts.
I understand that you want – and need – to sell your product by any means necessary. But if you aim to be a reputable company that builds mutually beneficial relationships with its customers, there are certain limits to what constitutes ‘by any means necessary’. Please do not cross them.
Just as you’ve enabled that ‘feature’, you can disable it. Do so. I use Linux and your Office 2024 as my way of curing myself of Microsoft cancer; don’t follow their deplorable example, because in this environment, cancer can be cured through a transplant.
Regards.

Re: Nag messageboxes on start
I do not regard disabling updates as a satisfactory response to a complaint about nagging notifications regarding a major version upgrade. Updates and upgrades are not the same thing. You have our e-mail addresses from our registering our software. Notifications regarding purchasing an upgrade to the next major version should be sent by e-mail NOT by pop-ups that intrude when we are trying to perform work. We should not have to disable updates in order to avoid unwanted notifications about upgrades.SuperTech wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 12:05 am Thank you for explaining your concerns.
