Scrolling too fast!

Post by bdf »

Hello,
When I use my mouse wheel to scroll in FreeOffice (either in TextMaker or in PlanMaker), it scrolls many lines at once, even though I have set the option to scroll one line at a time. What can I do?
It's the only app where this happens.
I'm using a Logitech G309 mouse, if this helps.
Thanks!

Came here to say this. A two finger scroll on my trackpad that comfortably navigates through other apps flies through a Textmaker document with lightning speed. Way too fast!

Regarding #1

To clarify, did you adjust the scrolling speed in the system settings, or did you go to File > Options > System > Mouse wheel and set it to one line?

Currently, the scroll speed in SoftMaker Office applications on macOS and Linux is controlled by the in-app setting rather than the system settings.

The "Scrolls by [x] lines" setting is intended to control scrolling speed, though its naming could certainly be improved—especially since what constitutes a "line" can vary depending on row heights and font sizes. I have forwarded this feedback to our development team.

Regarding #2

Touchpad scrolling operates differently. Improving its default behavior and making it easier to adjust is already on our development wishlist.
