Calculated columns

Post by PeterB »

A couple of months ago I bought NX 2024 because esp. Planmaker appealed to me having used WPS Spreadsheets for years. Planmaker is visually much more pleasant and appealing than WPS Spreadsheets. Planmaker also sold the feature of Tables, which I use a lot.

However, I abandoned PlanMaker 2024 and went back to WPS Spreadsheets because tables didn't meet my needs — Tables created with Planmaker did not auto-expand, that was abig let-down for me. The 2026 beta fixes auto-expansion — big thumbs up to the dev team — and, to my surprise, the new feature of structured references appeared and these are excellent. The remaining feature that would make tables truly competitive is Excel-style calculated columns — PlanMaker tables would feel much closer to modern Excel tables in day-to-day use.
