Importing dats from free office to paid version

Post by Oregonjim »

We just upgraded, from Free Office to Office NX 2021 as we were having trouble openjng free office. Our old files are accessible with file explorer. How do we import those files to Planmaker 2021.

Thank you for upgrading to SoftMaker Office NX. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues opening your files. To help resolve this, could you please:

1. Share the specific error message you encounter when opening files (a screenshot would be greatly helpful)

2. Confirm whether you’ve previously installed FreeOffice

If this is a file association issue, we recommend uninstalling FreeOffice (if installed).

What do you mean by "import"?

The FreeOffice version of PlanMaker and the SoftMaker Office version of PlanMaker both read and write the same file formats (just as the two versions of TextMaker read and write the same file formats). When I upgraded from FreeOffice to SoftMaker Office a little more than two years ago, I didn't have to "import" anything. My files were right where I had put them, and the new programs opened them without any problems.
