Windows - taskbar shows doc tabs twice

When hovering over the FlexiPDF taskbar icon in Windows 11, it displays twice as many docs as there are tabs open.
For example, if I have 8 docs open in FlexiPDF, when hovering over the taskbar icon it shows 16 docs to select from.

Thank you for reporting this issue. While I haven't been able to reproduce it on my end, I'd recommend checking if the problem occurs with other applications as well.

Please ensure you're using the latest version of FlexiPDF — you may want to update or reinstall the software if needed.

I have the current version of FlexiPDF installed under Windows 11 Pro.
The problem only occurs with FlexiPDF. I've attached a screenshot to show what it looks like.

I reinstalled flexiPDF and it looked fine for a short while and then went back to showing twice as many thumbnails as there are docs open.
Not sure exactly what triggered it.
I had one instance of flexiPDF open with three tabs and then opened an email pdf attachment which started a second instance of flexiPDF. It was then that I noticed the problem again. It would be nice if double-clicking on a PDF or opening an email attachment used the same running instance and opened another tab instead of starting another one.

Are you currently seeing 4 thumbnails or 8 total in your taskbar?

This issue might be related to your graphics driver. Please:

1. Reinstall the latest graphics driver
2. Update Windows
3. Restart your system and check again

Graphic driver updated just now. Looking better. Will see how it goes over the next few days.

Nope. Didn't fix it.
A few hours later it is back to showing two thumbnails for each document open.

Since this issue was resolved after updating your graphics driver but reoccurred after a few hours, it appears to be related to your operating system or a third-party application affecting the taskbar functionality.

I don't think so. Something is triggering it from within FlexiPDF.
I think it has something to do with having multiple documents open in one instance and then open/close other instances by double-clicking on a pdf document.
No other software exhibits this behaviour.

I ran some more tests first to try and get it to happen. I have not installed the patched version just yet.

Here's what I found.
Just using FlextPDF to open, double-click or drag and drop PDF files works fine.
However I also use 5 virtual desktops in my workspace and when I go to another virtual desktop and open more flexiPDF instances and close some files and move between the two virtual desktops then at some point (usually after closing an instance) multiple thumbnails appear for each document opened.
I'm not sure if your testing has attempted to open/close multiple instances and documents over multiple virtual desktops.
