Can't Request License Key
Can't Request License Key
For some unknown reason, after downloading FreeOffice for Mac, I cannot type my email address in the dialog box to request a license key. I've never seen this happen with any application before. I've tried re-downloading the software, but the same problem re-occurs.
Re: Can't Request License Key
Hi, what keyboard language do you use and what email address are you entering?
Re: Can't Request License Key
I use US English, but nothing can be typed into the email address field. It’s acting like a database field that I do not have permission. I use the same email address that I use for this forum.
Re: Can't Request License Key
What macOS version do you have?
Re: Can't Request License Key
Hi, sorry for the delay. Has the problem been solved in the meanwhile?
Re: Can't Request License Key
No, nothing has changed. I still can’t input my email address to get the license key.
Re: Can't Request License Key
Could you please change your computer date back to the day after you installed it and then go to "? | About | Write System Information" and send us the generated file?
Afterward, don't forget to set your date to today.

Re: Can't Request License Key
I tried re-installing the app with the application support file deleted. I was able to get a working trial copy -- working in every sense except for any keyboard inputs. I can create a new document and do anything from the toolbar using the mouse (insert symbol, insert section breaks\, insert table, etc.), but nothing from the keyboard.
I've attached the file you requested. Thanks.

Thanks, I've forwarded the issue to the developers and I'll let you know of their reply.
Re: Can't Request License Key
Please try the following:
a) Enable "Extended support for Asian fonts" in Tools>Options>General. Is the keyboard working now?
b) Try to use the mac virtual keyboard. Does the virtual keyboard work?
c) In macOS country settings you should leave "English" as the primary language, but please try to set the country (Region) to let say "Germany". Is the keyboard working now?

Re: Can't Request License Key
Apologies for the delayed response. Enabling "Extended support for Asian fonts" works! is there a reason why that works? Thanks for your help!
Re: Can't Request License Key
That option uses an almost completely different code for typing.
