Arch Linux installation package ver. 966-1 is broken

Post by bpr323 »

Hi,

About a month ago I bought a paid version and installed the *.deb file of build 966-1 on a Debian 9 Linux derivative without a problem and I love Softmaker 2018 Office!

However, I've moved to Arch Linux and when I downloaded the latest <softmaker-office-2018-966-amd64.tgz> from your site, Arch Linux installer (pacman) fails to recognise it - it doesn't even "see" it in the folder.
ARCH use *.pkg.tar.xz structure. Even if I try to change the extension on your file from *.tgz to *.pkg.tar.xz - the installer can "see" it, but reports it's broken.

Could someone please PLEASE do some basic QA and re-test your Linux your "non-deb/rpm" installation file and make sure it works with Arch Linux?

The answer is simple: The .tgz installer is a standalone installer for any Linux system. It has nothing to do with pacman.
