OLE Object copied from Excel: does not update

Post by maxe »

I recently made the final move from Office to SoftMaker.

I have some docx documents with an embedded Excel OLE object. I can open the such documents and it worked. Nice surprise.

However, when I double-click the Excel object and make changes to them and then close it nothing happens, and the figures / formulas in the text document remain the same.

Surely this is not how it should be?

Could you please provide a sample file (send it to forum(at)softmaker.com or attach it here)?

Here we are.

I've changed the 2200 to 2500 in the Excel document. When I close the Excel document, with or without executing "Save", nothing changes in the TextMaker object.

However, when I double-click the OLE object then Excel shows 2500, not 2200, so the new value is stored somewhere.

I can reproduce that issue and informed the developers.
