PivotTable filter menu disappears after fiter selection

Post by guy »

When working in a PivotTable, I often want to filter it to show only certain rows, so I will usually want to deselect some but not all of the data items. I do this by clicking the Row labels filter button, hover over a data row title which then shows the expanded menu (sorting, label filter, result filter, show all/hide all, list of data items), then I deselect one of the data items. The menu immediately disappears and the filter is applied. However, I usually need to select more than one data item so I have to repeat this procedure over and over.

It would be great if the PivotTable filter operated like a normal filter by allowing me to select multiple items at once then click an Okay button at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

Thanks, I have forwarded your suggestion.

PS: You have this alternative way to do it:
