Comments lost in ODT

Post by lgsl »

Comments are lost when saving into ODT format.
Same issue as I described for 2021 here https://forum.softmaker.com/viewtopic.php?f=389&t=22614, and that was fixed.

Aparently this only happen in a file I have working on for the last year. It could be something wrong with the file. As you say I can not reproduce it either in any other file or new document

It is indeed something wrong with the way the file is styled. I copied the 150+ pages to a new document without the styling and it works fine.
What is interesting is that if I apply a style (Header 3, for instance) save the file in TM, then I edit the file in LibreOffice and add a comment, the styling is lost and there is not way to re-apply it.

There is indeed an issue with ODT. I'm Attaching two files that demonstrate the problem.

The file Heading1-TM, was created with TM. Comments where added with TM too. The file Heading1-LO was created in TM, modified in LibreOffice (Text and comments added).

Heading1-LO looks fine in LibreOffice, but wrong in TM.

I was able to reproduce the problem with the text layout problem in tm24. I reported it to our developers' team.

But I can't find missing comments there. It would be helpful if you add some screenshots of the problem as I did for the layout problem.

Later I was able also to reproduce the problem with lost comment 4 and reported it as well to our developers' team.

The issues you reported have been resolved and the solution to them will be included in the next SoftMaker Office 2024 Beta update and in SoftMaker Office 2021 Service Pack S1066.
