PDF contents can be displayed?

Post by dlezo@hotmail.com »

I remember the older versions of Microsoft Word being able to display the contents of a PDF file. This could only be done if Adobe Acrobat was installed, however, most people hate Adobe because it is such of a memory hog and there are more leaner PDF programs that are available. Is it possible for Textmaker to display the contents of a PDF like a picture instead of simply showing the icon of a PDF file?

I'm running Windows 10 and when I browse for files in Explorer, then Explorer shows the file as a preview picture. Maybe that's because I use 'Foxit PDF Reader, a free PDF reader programme, to read PDF documents.

I'm actually talking about displaying the contents of a PDF in the Textmaker document itself. It would be displayed as if it were a picture. As it is now, Textmaker only shows PDF's as an icon of a PDF.
