Cannot update to v1036 from within v982

Cannot update to v1036 from within v982

When I select "Check for Updates" from the Help menu of any FreeOffice app, I get a dialog saying "No updates have been found for SoftMaker FreeOffice 2018. Does that mean I must download and install FreeOffice 2021 in order to keep my apps up-to-date?

Yes, you are right, as update and upgrade are different procedures. To upgrade, please uninstall FreeOffice 2018 then download and install FreeOffice 2021.
