Horizontal Scrolling arrows missing

Horizontal Scrolling arrows missing

The arrows at the foot of my spreadsheet's are missing which prevents me from viewing many columns. Have I inadvertently changed a setting which has caused this problem?

Are you in full-screen mode, or window mode? If you are in window mode, are you certain that you haven't dragged the bottom of the window off the screen?
