SEARCH doesn't 'find' properly

Post by JohnWasilewski »

PlanMaker Professional 2021 (rev S1017.0722) 64bit

When I use Ctrl-F to search for a text string in a spreadsheet, PM2021 does seem to find cells containing it but it fails to show me where the string is in the cell in which it has been found. All it does is to alight on a cell where it has found the string, but it does not alight on the string itself.

If text cells contain only short strings, which one can see at a glance, this is fine, but in text cells with word-wrap and long strings this is very inadequate.

Is there a setting somewhere that I can use to make searches identify exact positions found, or is this a TM deficiency that needs correcting?

This is because PlanMaker is not for large text processing and is more for calculations, functions, and graphs, etc. This search function which looks for small strings in large text is basically for Text processing applications like TextMaker.

But I have forwarded this as a feature idea to our product management...

Thanks
