THIS FILE FORMAT IS NOT SUPPORTED

when i import a file to PLANMAKER and try to open the file i get the error message:


"THIS FILE FORMAT IS NOT SUPPORTED"

how can this issue be resolved.

Please give some additional information:
What is the file format? *.xlsx, *.pmdx or something else?
What do you mean by “importing”? Do you draw the file on the program icon, do you double-click the file or what else?
Where is the file stored? Hard disk, net or cloud storage?

The format is xls.

Actually i am working with JD Edwards software and when i export a report to excel and try to open it in planmaker 2021, i get the message of format not supported.... The file is exported as excel file with xls extension.

If it an "xls" file exported by some third-party software such as JD Edwards, it is virtually guaranteed that it is not an xls file at all, but an XML or HTML file with a faked file extension. PlanMaker cannot open either of them.

But the same file when exported from JD Edwards to microsoft excel... It opens as excel spreadsheet normally without any problem.

That's because Excel has such import filters.
