accessing multi source information

Post by Princy557 »

Hi, not sure the title is correct but here's my problem.
I have a number of invoices on which I want to do some calculations.
simple idea would be to sum from sheet 1 to 200 invoices
But the Total invoice value is not always in the same grid reference. e.g. Invoice 0001 might have a total at G12, whereas invoice 0010 with more sales, would have a total in G17.
My first problem is looping through the invoices (they are all 2020-0001 onwards.
then I need to reference the Total cell which may vary in each invoice.
Is this possible to do?
Can anyone give me a heads up on how to do it, please?

This might be possible with the BasicMaker script depending on the factors of the location of the total amount and file names etc.

Thanks, SuperTech,
I thought it might be possible with BasicMaker.
Sadly my programming skills are reducing as I get older.
So will have to come up with some other method or forget it.
I'll have a plod through BM to see if it's within my ability.
