Removing input validation

I have several cells that I would like to remove the input validation.
Using the ribbon interface, under Home:contents I select delete:input validation but nothing happens - no error message, anything.

Is there a fix for this?

Using the ribbon interface, under Home:contents I select delete:input validation but nothing happens - no error message, anything.

This step will actually do nothing visible but will remove the previously set input validation from the selected cells and not the values which are already entered in those cells. To test, you can either enter any value which is out of set input validation to see if you are getting the error, or click on ribbon command Data | Input validation to check if input validation is removed or not.
