Pasting does not retain formatting

Post by HistoricExp »

Hello -

Early in my use of Textmaker, I was able to change my default mode of pasting text from "keeping formatting" to "unformatted text." At the time, it seemed like a good idea. (I don't remember where or how I was able to do that.)

Now I want to paste text from the web, et al, and Retain the formatting. I don't know where I can change my default mode of pasting.

To clarify, this happens on all documents in Textmaker.
When I click "Paste," the text shows up on my document as unformatted, in the Document's font, size, etc, and not the origin's font, size, etc.

When I try to use "Paste Special," it gives me two options:
Formatted text (HTML)
Unformatted text

Both come out as unformatted text, using the destination's formatting (my document) rather than the source's formatting (website or other).

Anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks!

There is no option to make "Paste unformatted text" as default paste. By default, paste and Ctrl+V is to paste the text with formatting.

But there is a command "Paste unformatted text" that is not bound to any key. You can customize the keyboard and assign to a key combination.
